This array was originally designed to carry out 3-D IP surveys rapidly (White et al 2003), thus data from such surveys are normally processed with the 3-D inversion program RES3DINV.
Support is added for this array in this program to that users have the option of inverting each line individually.
The arrangement of the electrodes is shown in the figure below.
The arrangement is similar to that used by the normal pole-dipole array except that the current electrode is not on the same line at the potential electrodes, but offset at a distance “b” from the survey line.
This arrangement was used to reduce the EM coupling between the current electrode and the potential dipole.
